Crispy Bacon-Wrapped Sweet Potato Fries

If you want to find more ways to incorporate bacon into your life, whip up these bacon-wrapped sweet potato fries!


This foolproof recipe only requires two simple ingredients and 15 minutes of hands-on prep time.



  • Start by peeling two sweet potatoes, then cut them lengthwise into even-sized “fries” about ½-inch wide. Next, wrap each sweet potato wedge with one thin-cut slice of bacon. Arrange in a single layer on a baking tray. 

  • Bake the sweet potato fries at 400°F for 20 minutes, then flip the fries and bake another 20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.

  • Serve your bacon-wrapped sweet potato fries warm out of the oven with a bowl of your favorite guacamole for dipping!

Tools

  •  Sharp knife

  •  Large, rimmed baking sheet

Ingredients

  •  2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled

  •  16 slices thin-cut bacon, fat trimmed

Instructions

  •  Preheat oven to 400°F.

  •  Cut the sweet potatoes lengthwise into even-sized slices, around 4 inches long and ½-inch wide.

  •  Wrap each sweet potato wedge with a slice of bacon and place in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  •  Bake for 20 minutes, then flip fries and bake for another 20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. Serve immediately with guacamole for dipping.

Tip: You can also swap out the sweet potatoes for carrots or butternut squash slices.
